Hera Couture by NZ designer Katie Yeung.
This dress was purchased late 2016 and has NEVER BEEN WORN as I have chosen a completely different style of dress to wear instead. I still absolutely love this dress and dearly hope it will make another bride’s dream. The dress has only just come to Australia and is still in the new range in Melbourne Bridal stores for $AUD $2900. The dress was purchased in NZ, I also paid $500 for alterations and a simple long tulle veil which I will include – I had the back of the dress lowered so that it has a deeper V back almost to the waist. It also has a split in the front, which opens as you move and in the breeze, over the right leg which is simply gorgeous. Otherwise the fit of the dress has not been altered, it is off the rack size 10. The dress is light and so lovely to wear, with a dreamy flowy skirt, with a tiny loop to allow you to bustle the skirt. I am an Australian size 8 – 10, C cup bust, however I was a little bigger when I purchased the dress, so a small size 12 would also fit.
“This dress is all about delicate detailing – without being over the top. The detailing is subtle: slightly translucent Venetian brocade lace is scattered with hand cut petals over the translucent bodice and waist. The bodice has a V-neck at the front, and deeper V at the back, with extra lining around the bust – giving great support, even for larger busts. An A-line skirt is made of flowing layers of quality rayon Georgette crepe, with a sweep train. It sits on your natural waistline and flows out into a wide skirt, making this dress incredibly flattering over the hips and bottom, and easy to wear.”
